Arc Angels Resurrected

Sweet words indeed. And it looks like they are true. One of the truly great blues rock bands of the 1990s landed on stage Saturday at the House of Blues in Dallas and struck hope in the hearts of fans who have waited patiently for many years for this to happen.

The band collapsed under the weight of some personal problems experienced by Doyle Bramhall in 1993 not long after the death of band friend and inspiration, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Arc Angels drummer, Chris Layton and bassist, Tommy Shannon had both been the foundation of Double Trouble--Stevie Ray's band.

Together with Doyle Bramhall and Charlie Sexton the group put together perhaps one of the true super groups of blues music, only to have it all end barely three years after forming.

The concert Saturday night was filmed for an upcoming DVD and one would guess that a CD would soon follow.
