McClinton still enjoys telling 'stories'; concert is hot ticket among peers

In 1962, during a concert tour of England, Delbert McClinton showed some of his harp licks to an unknown rhythm guitarist in a young band that was opening the show.

A year or so later, John Lennon bought a harmonica and used it for the Beatles hit "Love Me Do."

In the mid-'70s, McClinton appeared on "Saturday Night Live" in its heyday and performed with the Blues Brothers - Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi - who idolized McClinton, and performed one of his songs in their "Blues Brothers" movie. More
